Refund and return policy

Overview

The content of the HI SHOP is provided, updated and managed by: 

HI TECH (org.nr 802432-6467), which is the student association at the school of Engineering at Jönköping University.  

HI TECH is a non-profit organization working for students by students. This means that all potential profit is invested to improve student-life on campus. Prices and the assortment in the HI SHOP are updated continuously and may be changed throughout the semester.  

Payment

Payment is possible through Swish or card*. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, UnionPay, Diners Club, Discover, Maestro, Visa Electron, and VPay are accepted. Payment is also possible through Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. 

When purchasing an item, the buyer will be provided with the option of receiving a receipt.

*It is also possible to pay with cash in the Swedish currency (SEK) if requested. 

Returns & Refunds

HI TECH’s return policy is viable for 30 days from day of purchase if the following criteria are met:  

  • The returned item is unused and in its original condition. 
  • The original packaging is intact. 
  • You provide a receipt or proof of purchase. 

If all these criteria are met, you will receive a full refund in cash (SEK) or an equivalent replacement item.  

The HI SHOP is unable to issue a refund if you purchase a defected or damaged item, however, you will be provided with an equivalent replacement item. Please do not send your purchased item back to the manufacturer. 

Additional non-returnable items

Tickets for events cannot be refunded. In case of a postponed or canceled event, the board of HI TECH will decide if the tickets will be viable in the future or if the tickets will be refunded. 

For trips and events, specific terms and conditions might occur. These will be communicated by the responsible committee/workgroup at the time of purchase or on social media platforms dedicated to the trip/event.

Refund& Return Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
    CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

     

Refunds

HI TECH (org. number 802432-6467) is a student association at School of Engineering at Jönköping University. The purpose of the association is according to the associations By-law (2018): “The purpose of the Association is to ensure the quality of its members studies, offer the members an opportunity to influencing the education that takes place at the School of Engineering at JU, and provide students with a meaningful complement to their studies in the form of an active social life outside of their studies.” The HI TECH Board is responsible for the association and works for all members. The association also has committees and project groups that works with different areas of the associations operations.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping Returns

The Board of HI TECH is responsible of how the association handles personal data.
Committees and project groups within HI TECH sometimes handle personal data as
well in joint consultation with the Board. For further questions about how the
