HI TECH BOARD
The Board of HI TECH is there to make everyone’s time at the School at Engineering the best. Twelve members in their respective positions form the executional lead of HI TECH and as such work in constant cooperation. Responsible for all HI TECH related matters, it is overseeing and coordinating the association committees and work groups, represented in the board by their heads. All actions go towards the improvement of students educational quality as well as their integration and equality. For this, the board collaborates closely with The Student Union.
PRESIDENT
Nivin Muhamed
As the PRESIDENT of HI TECH, you have the overall responsibility of the association. You also work as a JSU general where you have a work area that you focus on during your mandate.
VICE PRESIDENT
Lobna Mansur
As the VICE PRESIDENT, your main task is to be the PRESIDENTS right hand and help them in their work. You are also responsible for the study work environment, which means being the student representative in the work environment committee at JTH and being a part of WORC at the student union.
TREASURER
Taim Alsaeid
As the TREASURER, you have the overall responsibility for managing HI TECH’s finances. You do ongoing accounting and make sure that all committees have knowledge about the budget, money transfers and follow-ups.
INTERNAL ORGANIZER
Alice Bornhöft
As the INTERNAL ORGANIZER, you handle purchases for HI TECH and are responsible for the HI SHOP, ensuring that it is restocked for KickOff. You plan for the Biannual meetings, and are the secretary during the weekly board meetings.
IT MANAGER
Emil Torstensson
As the IT MANAGER, you have the overall responsibility to keep the tech up to date. This includes updating the website, the screens at the entrance, the Hitract application, and helping out with the tech during the Biannual meetings. You also sit in the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Student Union.
Head of Social
Olivia Hjelte
HEAD OF SOCIAL has the main responsibility for the workgroup HI TECH SOCIAL. Together with the workgroup members, the HEAD OF SOCIAL plans and manages HI TECH's marketing and social media channels and ensures the quality and consistency of all marketing material produced by committees and workgroups.
HEAD OF EVENT
ELWIRA PETTERSSON
The HEAD OF EVENT has the main responsibility of the workgroup HI TECH EVENT. Together with the workgroup members, the HEAD OF EVENT plans events such as HI TECH GALA, Graduation Banquet and the Kick-off welcome dinner.
HEAD OF AFFAIRS
Vedang Chandode
HEAD OF AFFAIRS serves as the main link between HI TECH and external partners. The role includes overseeing collaborations with companies, ensuring smooth execution of events and partnerships, and supporting the team in their daily work.
HEAD OF HIKE
Hannes Bertils
As HEAD OF HIKE, you are in charge of managing and coordinating HIKE. You also have responsibility for all events and trips HIKE creates.
HEAD OF HI LIFE
Elias Eklind
As the HEAD OF HI LIFE, the main responsibilities is to arrange Sittings, HI CAPS and other social events. As well as attends meetings with Akademien.
HEAD OF HINT
Neha Rajesh
As HEAD OF HINT, you are responsible for a committee that hosts awesome events and has a large presence during the kickoff. You coordinate and manage activities, handle exchange study issues at JTH together with the International Office and are a Head Fadder for both kickoffs.
HEAD OF HI EDUCATION
Clara Höglund
As the HEAD OF HI EDUCATION, you are in charge of HI EDUCATION and have the overall responsibility for educational questions. You are also responsible for attending all the meetings with UR, SUK, SRU, and PED.
HI TECH events
HI TECH Week
HI TECH WEEK is a yearly event where the whole association of HI TECH comes together and organizes events for each day of the week. Different committees and workgroups are responsible for each day of the week. Expect everything from fun games at the JTH entrance where you can win prizes to quizzes at Rio and other venues.
Karriärum
Karriärum is one of Jönköping University’s largest career fairs and is hosted by HI TECH AFFAIRS. Karriärum brings students and companies together from a wide range of industries. The event is organized in collaboration with JTH's samverkan team, where HI TECH AFFAIRS plays an active role in supporting the planning and execution of the fair. The event provides as a platform for networking, exploring career paths, and gaining insights into internships, part-time jobs, and future employment opportunities for all the students at JTH.
Xjobbsmässan
Xjobbsmässan is hosted by HI TECH AFFAIRS and is a career focused event aimed at students connecting with companies showcasing their thesis (degree project) work. It allows students to interact directly with company representatives, and find collaborations that align with their academic and professional interests.
Welcome Dinner at Kick Off
During the autumn introduction period, we organize a welcome dinner for all new students on the very first evening. We provide dinner for the new students to give them the best possible conditions for having a fun and enjoyable first day.
Fall Gala
The HI TECH Fall Gala is our largest event of the year, bringing together 200–300 guests. This formal event is one of our most appreciated occasions and creates unforgettable memories for our students. Students are treated to a three-course dinner and great entertainment.
Engineer’s Dinner
Engineers Dinner is an event whose purpose is to create a fun and entertaining evening for our students. During the evening, a three-course dinner is served while the audience is entertained with games and performances. This is one of our smaller events, which makes it more intimate and helps create a stronger sense of community among the students. The event also gives our other committees within HI TECH the opportunity to participate and host performances, showcasing our organization.
Graduation Banquet
Every year, HI TECH EVENT organizes a graduation banquet for all graduated engineers at JTH. The purpose of the banquet is to give the student an unforgettable evening in a beautiful setting, with food, drinks, dancing, and entertainment – a perfect conclusion to their studies.
Graduation Day
Every year, around 600 students graduate from Jönköping University’s School of Engineering. In collaboration with the school, HI TECH EVENT helps organize, communicate, and manage the graduation ceremony. To make the graduation day even more memorable, HI TECH EVENT also organizes a graduation party in the evening following the ceremony.
